Our Story

Hi, my name is Evan, and I’m the founder of LoFli.

Like a lot of parents, I have a kid who absolutely loves baseball. My son was eight when this all started. He wanted to play every day, and honestly, so did I.

But our yard is small and we didn't have the space for him to hit real baseballs. So we did what a lot of families do. We played with hollow plastic wiffle balls.

But wiffle balls don’t feel like you’re playing baseball. They’re light, they fly weird, and when you throw them it feels like you’re tossing air. It wasn’t the same game.

So I went looking for something better. I wanted a ball that had the same size, weight, and feel of a real baseball, but that wouldn’t fly as far when you hit it so we could safely play in smaller spaces.

I couldn’t find it, so we built it.

LoFli is a limited flight training baseball that plays like a real ball. It has the same size, weight, and seams, but when you hit it, it travels about half the distance. That means you can play catch in the yard, take swings in the driveway, or take batting practice at a park without chasing balls hundreds of feet.

But what LoFli is really about isn’t the ball.  It’s about playing more baseball.

Because the truth is, the best part of baseball isn’t the games you play on the field against other teams.  It’s the thousands of throws, swings, and good times that happen everywhere else. In backyards, driveways, garages, and parks.

Those are the moments where kids fall in love with the game.

And LoFli makes those moments possible in places where baseball normally wouldn’t work.Because the game we love shouldn’t need a big field, just a ball and a little bit of space.
